My favorite place to eat?
My Momma’s Kitchen.
I was sitting here thinking of where I like to eat, and I couldn’t come up with a sure fit. Yes I do like Pizza Factory, Fox-Bro’s-BBQ, Texas Road House, and Cafe Rio… but those are just good places. Then I had a ‘well duh!’ moment…If you want some AMAZING food, all you have to do is go to my Momma’s kitchen. She seriously is the best cook. I especially love her homemade bread and all her grilled foods. Or her lasagna. Or her tostadas. Or pretty much everything she makes! She has been in the mood to make everything from scratch lately too. Which makes it all even better. What is the key to her great cooking you ask? It isn’t her ability to mix things, grill things, or bake things well. What it really is, is her kindness, humility, love, and warmth. My Momma is the sweetest person you will ever meet. She is constantly blessings others lives by doing random acts of kindness. I swear she never has a moment to rest because she fills her day with helping her family and others. She always goes about everything with a smile on her face and always finds time to laugh (even though sometimes it is at her own jokes. It’s okay mom, I honestly think you’re funny too). Some daughters want to their Moms to be their best friend. Others want their Moms to be ‘cool’. Others want their Mom to be caring and a shoulder to cry on. Others want to come to their Mom for advice. I am lucky to say that my mom is ALL of those things. She is my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, loves me so much, and is always ‘cool’. She may not always tell me what I want to hear, but she can definitely tell me what I need to hear. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that she is pretty much always right too. And not to mention she is Beautiful! I really hope I look as good as her as I age, like for reals. This woman has got it going on! 😉
If you couldn’t tell, I love my Momma a whole lot. I am so blessed to have grown up having her feed me. Not only physically, but emotionally, and spiritually as well.
Thanks for everything you do Mom. I love you.
