A few of the blogs that I stalk have started doing this 30 Day blog challenge. I enjoy reading their posts each day. I decided to jump on the band wagon and do it myself. (For a list of everything I’m going to be writing about each day, look at the bottom of this post.)
Day 1: A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was
Today was the THIRD day of being “snowed” in. We are not really snowed in. We only were the first day. The two days after that were because Georgia is ill-equipped to clear roads. And, to be frank, they are little wusses when it comes to snow(no offense Georgians, still love you guys). And just get this, school is cancelled AGAIN tomorrow! 4 snow days?! Utah would never hear of such a thing. I’ll admit, I am a little bored because Nate and i have been cooped up in our little apartment, but hey, I’ll take it. No one should ever complain about school being cancelled, right?
Anyway, here’s what we did today…
-Slept in till 11:30 (have I mentioned I am a QUEEN of sleeping for 10 hours straight now? I love what dark rooms and nothing to do does to my sleeping habits 🙂
-Sat around for a few hours, watching the news online and playing Free Cell
-Went to Wal-Mart. Mad house there! Everyone is stocking up. There literally was no bread left…
– Went to Wells Fargo. Money in da bank!
-Attempted to go running. We made it 22 mins. I’ll admit, I started crying after like 5 mins into it. I was just so frustrated! I really don’t like the cold. I really don’t like the freezing wind. I really don’t like not being able to take 3 steps without slipping. I really don’t like when my hip hurts as I try to run. I really don’t like being able to train properly. I really don’t like running in the winters. And so, I cried about it. Tough girl, eh? Nate has learned how to handle me though. We stopped running, he hugged me, and said that we should just run on the road where it was a little less icy down to the street light, turn around and call it quits. We followed his plan, and he coached me and made me realize my whole season won’t suffer because of a few days of bad training. (I’m a little dramatic sometimes, I know, I know)
– Made some really good pasta with grilled chicken. and NATE made the green beans. so proud 🙂
-Watched the movie “The A-Team” it was pretty good
– Played Jenga. I lost. Darn it.
– And now I’m sitting here. Typing this.
All in all, pretty good day 🙂
